Autobiography
Lars Erik Robinson

I was born in Morristown, N.J. on January 29, 1971.   The thought of doing art did not enter my mind until 1979 when my parents were divorced and I was relocated to Gothenburg, Sweden.   It was during my time in Europe that I became involved in the Hip Hop culture — the dancing, the music and especially the art... that creative and unique genre known as graffiti art.   Also within this art scene, I became seriously involved in comic art and illustration.
In 1994 I graduated from Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL, and received a BFA Degree in Illustration and a Minor in Computer Graphics.   It wasn't until I actually got into the field of commercial art that I realized how demanding the field really was.
Out of college, I first found jobs doing murals, portraits and freelance illustration.   I eventually discovered that I had the ability, with my outgoing personality, to combine my art skills with entertainment, finding opportunities to merge the two doing caricatures at a variety of venues around the Tampa Bay area.   I began describing this type of work as "Art-tainment."
Now a well-seasoned artist in the field, I conduct my business as LarsERArts (Freelance Illustration & Graphics),   and
All-Around-Art-tainment, through which I provide entertainment services for more than two dozen agencies.   I have, over the years, established my own database of satisfied clientele.   Working out of my own studio, I am available for just about anything within the field of art.
Aside from business, I enjoy movies, culinary arts, and especially spending time with my wife, Debbie, and our son of 4 ½ years, Sean...
and of course our hairy friend, Jordan — a Golden Irish Setter.
